Fees - what is the cost of the connection?

In order to connect a new consumption/production place to the power distribution grid you will have to pay several invoices, in several stages. You will pay to E-Distributie the fee for the Technical Approval for Connection (TAC), the fee for the location approval (if applicable) and the connection fee.

In some cases, a solution study for the TAC is also required, and this also entails a cost. In this case, the fee for the TAC decreases by 70%.

You don't have to pay everything at the same time, but only when you reach to the respective step.

Location approval issuance fee:

For the urban networks, based on a coexistence data sheet

125 lei without VAT / km of network

For the urban networks, based on a coexistence study

38 lei without VAT / km of network

For a construction / investment, based on a coexistence data sheet

95 lei without VAT / approval

For a construction / investment, based on a coexistence study

29 lei without VAT / approval

Regarding the issuance of TAC, in order to connect a new consumption / production place, you should look to the second column:

The connection fee is the largest part of the connection cost, paid after entering the connection contract and calculated according to the methodology decided by ANRE. The fee is unique for each individual case, depending on the chosen connection solution and on the characteristics of the place you want to connect to the power grid.

The cost of the entire connection process varies depending on several factors, specific to each individual client - distance from the power grid, connection installation type, approved power, voltage level at the connection point.

You can also get information about the fees directly from the ANRE Orders:

ANRE Order no. 63/2017 approving the modification of the Order no. 114/2014 issued to approve the fees for the issuance and updating of the technical connection approvals, of the connection certificates and of the location approvals.

ANRE Order no. 11/2014 modified and updated with ANRE Order no. 60/2023  approving the Methodology of deciding the fees for the users connection to the public interest grids.

ANRE Order no. 141/2014  approving the specific fees and indices used in deciding the fees for connecting the users to the public interest grids.
