E-Distribuție won the grand award at the Electrician's Trophy 2023, in Timișoara

• The three E-Distribuție companies won the grand award at the Electrician's Trophy for Electricity Distribution
• Delgaz Grid won the Electrician's Trophy for the Maintenance category

80 specialists from the four electricity distribution operators (E-Distribuție, Distribuție Energie Electrică România (DEER), Delgaz Grid and Distribuție Oltenia) and Adrem Invest competed in the eight categories they qualified for. As a premiere of the competition, this year the Junior Electrician Trophy was organized, attended by 12 high school students, tomorrow's electricians.

"It was an honor to host the 41st edition of the Electrician's Trophy in Timișoara. The 80 participants demonstrated, during the three days of competition, that performance is backed by many hours of preparation, seriousness, and self-control. I trusted the E-Distribuție team, knowing that they are an example of professionalism and have a lot of experience in installations. We are particularly proud of our colleagues who managed to win, for the 3rd consecutive edition, the Grand Trophy, in the Electricity Distribution category", said Monica Hodor, General Manager of E-Distribuție.

The Electrician's Trophy is the most complex professional competition in the energy field in Romania, preceding the Energetician's Day, celebrated on July 20, by Saint Elijah, the protector of these professionals, established as such by Decree nr. 507/1972. The history of this competition begins in 1977 in Iași, where the first edition took place. Since then, the competition has been held every year until the pandemic. After three years of break, E-Distribuție resumed organizing this prestigious event in Timișoara, a city that in 2023 is also European Capital of Culture. Generations of specialists have faced each other in theoretical, practical or public tests, demonstrating their professionalism.

E-Distribuție companies operate grids with a total length of over 133,000 kilometers in three important areas of the country: South Muntenia (including Bucharest), Banat and Dobrogea, covering one third of the local distribution market, and are developing an investment program to improve service quality, grid safety and performance, and local implementation of Enel Group's environmental standards. The power grids operated by the three E-Distribuție companies include 286 primary substations and over 24,000 secondary substations. In 2022, they distributed 15.5 TWh of electricity through high, medium and low voltage power lines.
