Terminology explained

Useful definitions for consumers - residential and business clients

Consumption place = land, premises, building in which one consumes electric power. A consumption place has a single user system but can have several connection systems.

Location Approval = a favourable notification if your future construction (residence, warehouse, farm, etc.) does not affect the power distribution grids in the area in which you want to build (if not affected, we say that the "coexistence conditions" are fulfilled). The notification will be unfavourable if the land is in a protection and safety area related to the power grids. In this case, we will specify which are the systems we have in the area and propose variants that allow the issuance of the location approval.

Application for the issuance of the Technical Approval for Connection (TAC) = application for connection to the power distribution grid. The TAC that we issue as an answer to your application is an offer that details the technical / economical possibilities and requirements for the fulfilment of the requirements specified by you in your application.

Connection system = connection solution or electric system (including the power metering group), by which the consumption place will be connected to the grid - from the public interest grid up to the point of delimitation from the user's system. The connection system is our property.

User system = your internal electric system by which you will consume the power. The user system is your property (up to the delimitation point). Whenever you have a problem with your own internal system, it is your responsibility to solve it.

Delimitation point = the place where the user system separates from the connection system

Connection solution data sheet / Connection study = document prepared by us (or by a certified company, for the studies) for the issuance of the TAC, in which we analyse what system would be suitable for your case. Usually, the residential clients only need one solution data sheet, because the solution is unique. For the clients - generally business clients - with very large consumptions, a solution study is required, including several technical solutions, economically feasible, by which the connection could be achieved.

Approved power = the maximum power you can consume at any moment, specified in the TAC. The connection system is sized according to the power you selected when you applied for the TAC. Assess carefully your power demand, because if you need more power, you will have to ask for a power supplementation (also by an application for TAC).

Site organization = a temporary situation in which you need electric power for building the construction that will become a consumption place.
